Meet Mrs. Elizabeth G. Heck

Hello! I'm Mrs. Heck, originally from Seneca, South Carolina. I graduated from Seneca High School after being involved in Honors Chorale, Madrigals, and St. Mark UMC's Youth Group. Subsequently, I attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, and received an English B.A., English education certification, and a concentration in Communication Studies. I am currently pursuing my Master's of Library Science from the University of South Carolina.

After graduating from Furman, I courted and married my soldier husband, Joshua. Together, we are raising our little mutt, Sophie, and Springer Spaniel, Nitro, watching the SyFy and BBC America channels, and continuing our adventures in "building the crazy."

The Harry Potter series inspired me to become an avid reader, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and C. S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia provoked my passion for literature. Science fiction is typically my favorite genre, but I just want intelligent writing, epic adventure, and thought-provoking ideas when I read. Literary theory is awesome, as is chocolate and anything mint. I like shades of all colors, and I love multimedia visual art. My Zodiac sign is Virgo, and my Myers-Briggs personality is an INFJ. I am eager to work with you this year and to learn things like this about you, too!
