Test Results and Grades

Your scores for the Style Test are officially in Infinite Campus. Many of you did not do so well on the written response sections. We will look closely at these on Monday, Sept. 7, to learn better ways to answer constructed response and (hopefully!) earn some points back on your test.

For now, though, you only have one grade in each category for summative tests and summative vocabulary. This means that these categories are largely inflated on your progress report (distributed Friday, Sept. 4). Remember, you still have four-and-a-half weeks to improve your grades. The BEST way to do succeed is to focus on ACTUALLY LEARNING the material by completing work as assigned. We mostly have work in class to be kept in your notebooks. If you are following along and completing the activities, you will be prepared.

If you are absent, you need to come after school on Tuesdays or Thursdays or during your lunch to look at my notebook to fill in what you have missed. Most often, it is these absences that affect otherwise excellent students.

Remember, LEARNING is our goal! If you do that, your grade will follow!
