Today, we went over the big problem from the Style Assessment: written responses!
These are often called "free responses," "written responses," "constructed response questions," or "short answer." Essentially, these questions are those that require more than a multiple choice selection, but less than a fully-developed essay. If you follow the prewriting as listed on the PowerPoint and remember to R-A-C-E, you will ACE those standardized test questions!
The great thing about R-A-C-E is that you can use it ANY CLASS! History short answer? R-A-C-E! Science "explain the process of" question? R-A-C-E! If you meet each part of this acronym thoroughly, I assure you a passing answer!
