Sweet 15: Another Look at Emigre

This week, we will be looking at another author's view of immigrants to America. We have finished reading vignettes from The House on Mango Street and are now embarking upon a more modern, West Coast story in Sweet 15. Marta shows us the more successful side of being a Mexican emigrant as she goes to school, volunteers in her local community, and excitedly plans her quinceñera.

This film will take us to the end of the first quarter and will allow for the publishing of our class vignettes, The School on Blue Ridge Drive, which will be available for reading in the Freshman Academy Office.

We will be completing this worksheet and have a review and comparison quiz at the end of our viewing!
