Hero's Journey QUIZ Tomorrow

Today, we finished up "A Sound of Thunder," analyzing the story in the same manner as the quiz tomorrow. We also watched a mini episode of "Phineas and Ferb," labeling Phineas & Ferb's, Perry the Platypus's, or Candace's hero's journeys. You can practice tonight reading any short story, children's book or watching an episode of ANYTHING. On the quiz tomorrow you will cold-read a short story and:

• identify characters as character archetypes

• match plot events to steps of the Hero's Journey

• R-A-C-E an argument for which of the 6 hero types the protagonist of the story embodies
