Today, we have finished our notes for the background understanding and literary techniques before diving into the Odyssey. Check back on the PowerPoint to review the story of the Trojan War leading up to this story, literary devices of an epic, and reading strategies to help with a greater-than-3,000-year-old text.

Tomorrow, be prepared to present if you have Athena, Penelope, Telemachus, Zeus, or Helios. After we finish Book 1 with these characters, Book 5 characters, Circe and Hermes, should be ready to present!

A great overview of all our notes can be found at this document, from http://eienglish.org/odybkg.pdf.
