Today, we began reading Fahrenheit 451. We are going to try reading the text in "chunks" to understand what's happening in the text before we worry about activities and assignments to further uncover the realities of the tale. In class we will be listening to the audiobook read by Tim Robbins. Here is a version on YouTube you can access for free.

While we read, focus on the characters' motivations and relationships. Look for direct and indirect characterizations and note important page numbers for use with assignments after reading.

This is a book that my non-reader sister has read EIGHT TIMES as one of her favorite books. I hope that you will enjoy this unit and reading!
