Comparing Science Fiction Texts

We have one last assignment to measure your understanding of science fiction, characters, and themes of Fahrenheit 451. Friday, you will write an in-class comparison essay that says MORE than "The texts are similar and different in many ways." You could point out differences and similarities since you were 5--it's ten years later! Your goal is to compare the two texts to suggest something important about the human condition, the future, the genre, themes, character, etc.

While there are many texts that we could compare 451 to, we will be watching the first half-hour of both "Logan's Run" and Equilibrium. You will then choose at least one of these to compare/contrast to the book 451. There are various comparison aspect suggestions on the PowerPoint.
