Creating a Mythology Infographic

For your presentation to the class, you will create an infographic that details the required information about your character as found on your assignment sheet. Infographics are an essential part of our culture as an easy and user-friendly way to disseminate information to a general populous. Creating an infographic now will help you gain important real-world skills for presentations and careers you may have ahead of you.

This PPT document offers a few templates that are good choices for infographics. It also instructs you how to create the text boxes, lines, fonts, etc. to make your infographic stellar! There are also a few web-based infographic creators that can be found on this review by Farshad. (My top picks for you: Easel.ly, Piktochart, Infogr.am) I made this infographic on Odysseus using Easel.ly, but made your course overview on Piktochart. I think Easel.ly was a bit easier, personally, but .

Here is an excellent example of a Greek mythology infographic, using the myth, stories, and character traits of Hercules. Below, the infographic is definitely professionally created; however, students of Caitlin Tucker created their own infographics that you can see at this link. I expect your best work, but your own infographics do not need to be expertly designed.
